Job summary

Volarify in Middletown, PA is seeking an Advanced Carpenter who provides leadership on commercial reconstruction and restoration projects. This role leads on large CAT Team assignments and mentors junior carpenters.

Candidates bring advanced construction knowledge, supervise crews, and ensure safety and customer property protection while meeting deadlines. The position offers growth toward Estimator or Project Manager paths.

Qualifications

• Supervise unskilled, entry-level and intermediate team members and subcontractors on varied project types.
• Provide clear guidance on project tasks and escalate complex issues.
• Maintain tools and equipment used in daily operations.
• Perform emergency response services such as board-ups and securing structures.
• Complete additional duties as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify potential project challenges and request support as needed
• Train and mentor Basic and Intermediate Carpenter team members
• Serve as a knowledgeable on-site resource for most project-related questions
• Construct effective containment systems for dust, debris, and airborne contaminants
• Build and repair metal-framed walls, acoustical ceilings, and roofing systems
• Perform flood cutting, salvage operations, and labeling of materials
• Identify insulation types, thicknesses, and R-values
• Apply advanced construction skills across trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, framing, ceilings, roofing, and siding
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain clean, serviceable equipment
• Maintain strict attention to detail and customer property protection standards
• Deliver outstanding customer service in all interactions
• Work efficiently under schedule deadlines
• Support after-hours, weekend, and periodic travel project needs
• Accurately document labor hours, equipment usage, and materials consumption
• Participate in company-sponsored operations and safety training programs
