Job summary

Cook Children’s is seeking an Advanced Care Tech/Paramedic for the Emergency Department in Prosper, TX. You will provide patient care under the medical director and support unit operations in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Required: High School Diploma, 1+ year paramedic (EMT-P) experience, paramedic licensure, and BLS. Additional pediatric certifications (PALS/PEHP/ Emergency Pediatric Care) are preferred. Shift is 7pm–7am, full-time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• At least 1 year experience as a paramedic (EMT-P) required.
• Paramedic certification or licensure required.
• Basic Life Support Provider required.
• At least one of: Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Professionals, or Emergency Pediatric Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients under the direction of the medical director.
• Perform support functions related to unit operations.
• Support and supplement the health care team in designated areas of the hospital.
