Job summary

Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedics Institute (OHJOI) is seeking an experienced RN for Advance Care in PreOp/PACU. This is a full-time position on a 3x12-hour shift schedule (5:15am – 5:45pm) at OHJOI.

The role involves administering complex patient care in an acute hospital setting with a focus on stability and rapid response. A state nursing license and BLS are required; ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC may be needed for specific units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current state nursing license and required BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• 1 year nursing experience required unless AVP level approval is granted.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care with high-intensity interventions and vigilant monitoring.
• Monitors equipment and interprets vital signs and patient data.
• Responds to life-threatening situations and follows physician-approved protocols.
• Documents care and updates patient plans based on response and progress.
• Collaborates with medical and nursing teams to coordinate care.
