Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform advanced ultrasound procedures for adult and pediatric patients. You will work with a multidisciplinary team in a high-volume echocardiography lab, contributing to diagnostic imaging quality.

Eligible candidates hold RDCS/AE or ARDMS/CCI registration, with BLS certification and 2 years of cardiovascular sonography experience. On-site shifts include on-call coverage and rotating schedules with a sign-on bonus and

Qualifications

• Registration as Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-AE) or equivalent (ARDMS/CCI).
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months if required.
• Completion of an accredited sonography program with cardiac focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures including M-mode, 2-D, Doppler and Color Flow Doppler.
• Assist physicians in cath/EP labs and aid in obtaining diagnostic echocardiograms.
• Prepare patients, collect history, and tailor imaging to patient age and status.
• Perform transesophageal studies and sterilize probes as required.
• Communicate findings to staff and maintain lab statistics and equipment.
• Develop protocols with supervisor and support ICAEL accreditation efforts.
