Job summary

The Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC) at Columbia University seeks a motivated Technician B to support daily laboratory operations and collaborate with investigators.

You will work on both in vitro (2D/3D cell culture) and in vivo (mouse model) research, performing tissue culture, molecular biology techniques, and cellular assays while ensuring compliance with GCP and safety standards. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a biological science or related field.
• Experience with tissue culture and molecular biology techniques.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform tissue culture and basic molecular biology techniques (RNA/DNA extraction, PCR, Western blotting, flow cytometry).
• Conduct murine modeling experiments.
• Execute established cellular assays with perturbations.
• Present findings orally and in writing; participate in team meetings.
• Contribute to publications and attend conferences.
• Review scientific literature to stay current.
• Ensure adherence to study protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Comply with GCP/ICH and ethical standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
