Job summary
Honeywell is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to drive design and deployment of building automation solutions from its Miami, FL location. You will work onsite with product teams and customers to deliver efficient, sustainable building controls and advanced applications.
The role requires strong knowledge of Honeywell Building Automation and a track record in design, configuration, and troubleshooting of BMS and HVAC systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in application engineering, preferably in building automation or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of Honeywell Building Automation products and solutions.
- Expertise in application design, configuration and troubleshooting of building control systems, including software deployment and integration.
- Proficiency with relevant tools and technologies such as building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, and automation software platforms.
Responsibilities

You will report directly to our Sr. Field Service Manager, and you'll work out of our Miami, Florida location on an onsite work schedule.
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced application solutions for Honeywell Building Automation products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop tailored solutions that meet customer needs
- Provide expert technical support and training to customers and internal stakeholders on product configuration and deployment
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues during project implementation
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance application capabilities
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in application engineering, preferably in building automation or related industries
- Strong knowledge of Honeywell Building Automation products and solutions
- Expertise in application design, configuration, and troubleshooting of building control systems, including software deployment and integration
- Proficiency with relevant tools and technologies such as building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, and automation software platforms
- Advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and drive continuous improvement
- Knowledge of industry standards and protocols such as BACnet, LonWorks, and Modbus
