Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking an Advanced Analytics Analyst to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will leverage Power BI, SQL, and Python to extract, analyze, and visualize data, providing actionable insights to inform business strategies.

Collaborate across departments including BI, Business Analytics, FP&A, and Special Projects, sharing new analytics concepts and systems to accelerate continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Data Science, CS, Statistics) and strong data analysis background.
• Experience extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data to inform business decisions.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation; Python programming skills.

Job description

The Advanced Analytics Analyst is a highly skilled position that will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. Leveraging expertise in Power BI, SQL, and Python to extract, analyze, and visualize data, providing valuable insights that will inform critical business strategies. The Advanced Analytics Analyst will drive collaboration with cross-functional departments including the Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Financial Planning and Analysis and Special Project teams, while facilitating information sharing of new analytics concepts and systems.

Work Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics).
• Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Programming skills in Python
• Experience with Databricks, Workday and Microsoft PowerBI Fabric a plus
• Expertise in data visualization tools, especially Power BI.
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and statistical analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business insights.
• Strong team player and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
