Job summary

Google LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager for Google Compute Engine in the Google Cloud organization. The role is based in the Seattle metro area (Seattle, WA) with leadership over a team of software engineers building enterprise-grade AI/ML infrastructure and scalable systems.

You will shape technical direction, drive delivery, and mentor engineers across projects. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 8 years of software development experience, and strong leadership

• Refine development workflows to facilitate seamless collaboration and guide technical directions. Uphold software engineering best practices to build high-performing, scalable, and maintainable systems while continuously improving operational workflows.
• Equip the team with necessary tooling and processes for smooth execution. Craft strategic long-term roadmaps and visions aligned with overall organizational objectives.
• Drive full end-to-end program delivery, from initial planning through release. Partner with cross-functional and cross-organizational stakeholders to establish scope, define key milestones, assign resources, mitigate risks, and communicate progress.
