Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care team in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Our Urgent Care providers practice in a fast-paced environment offering a blend of primary care, urgent care, and emergent care services while working alongside a collaborative team of physicians, APPs, nurses, paramedics, CMAs, and patient care representatives. Position Highlights include flexible shifts with 10-hour days, 100% outpatient practice, and

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required.
• Missouri license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications current.
• Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant.
• Experience in Emergency Medicine, ICU, or Urgent Care preferred.
• Ability to work independently/autonomously and with other health care professionals.
• Strong patient assessment skills and ability to develop care plans.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care and primary care services in a fast-paced setting.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, paramedics, CMAs, and support staff.
• Perform procedures including suturing and incision & drainage.
• Utilize on-site X-ray, EKG, point-of-care testing, and rapid infectious disease testing.
• Support orientation and ongoing professional collaboration with the team.
• Maintain comprehensive and compassionate patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

Position Highlights

• Flexible schedule with 10-hour shifts, including weekdays and weekends
• 100% outpatient practice with no call responsibilities
• Average patient volume of 15-35 patients per shift
• Opportunity to perform procedures including suturing and incision & drainage
• On-site X-ray, EKG, point-of-care lab testing, and in-house COVID, Flu, and RSV testing capabilities

APP Requirements

• Master's Degree required
• Current Missouri license preferred or ability to obtain licensure
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant
• Previous experience in Emergency Medicine, ICU, or Urgent Care preferred
  

Additional Qualifications

• Possess ability to work independently/autonomously and interdependently with other health care professionals
• Have extensive patient assessment skills using diagnostic methods and instruments with the ability to develop appropriate plan of care, modifying as indicated
• Possess effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with patients, families and members of the health care team
