RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Rapid Response Team (RRT) at the New Brunswick campus. This is a full‑time NIGHT position (6pm–6am) with a salary range of $125,000 to $195,000 per year.

Ideal candidates are NP graduates with acute care, adult-gerontology, or family certifications and ICU nursing experience. Licensure includes NJ APN/PA, NCCPA, CDS, DEA, RN, BLS, and ACLS; PA/NP boards welcome strong critical care skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from NP program with certification in Acute care, Adult-Gerontology, or Family.
• FNPs must have documented medical, surgical or ICU nursing experience.
• Physician Assistants need to have graduated from accredited PA program.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies as the provider for the Rapid Response Team.
• Assess critically ill patients and prioritize care in a fast-paced ICU setting.
• Order and implement treatment plans for hospitalized patients.
• Support with central line removal and emergency room admissions as needed.

Essential Functions

• The role includes responding to emergencies as the provider for the Rapid Response Team as well as assisting with other matters for hospitalized patients such as removal of central lines, and emergency room admissions,
• Must be motivated and an independent thinker, able to quickly prioritize, work in a fast-paced clinical environment and adapt quickly in acute situations
• Assessment of critical patients
• Ordering and implementing treatment plans

Education

• Graduate from NP program with certification in Acute care, Adult-Gerontology, or Family
• All FNPs must have documented medical, surgical or ICU nursing experience

Experience

• 2-4 years of acute inpatient experience preferred
• Will consider the right new graduate
