Nippersink Public Library District is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and community-minded Adult Services Programming & Outreach Coordinator to join our team.
This role focuses on adult programming, outreach, and community engagement, planning engaging programs, building relationships with local organizations, representing the Library at events, and developing partnerships and promotional materials to connect the community with Library services.
Do you love bringing people together, dreaming up creative programs, and making connections in your community?
Nippersink Public Library District is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and community-minded person to join our team as our Adult Services Programming & Outreach Coordinator!
This isn’t a position where every day looks the same.
One day, you might be planning an upcoming adult program. The next, you could be connecting with a local business about a partnership, representing the Library at a community event, creating promotional materials, helping a patron discover a new Library resource, or brainstorming the next big idea with our team.
A little bit of everything, but your primary focus will be adult programming, outreach, and community engagement.
You’ll:
Someone who is creative AND organized.
You should enjoy working with people, be comfortable juggling multiple projects and deadlines, and be willing to jump in when needed. We’re a small Library, which means collaboration, flexibility, communication, and a good sense of humor go a long way!
Library experience is preferred, but related experience counts, too. If your background is in programming, event planning, community engagement, nonprofits, education, recreation, customer service, marketing, or another related field, we still want to hear from you.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is excited about people, programs, partnerships, and the role a public library can play in its community.
Interested?
The complete job description is available upon request and will also be provided to applicants upon receipt of application materials.
Come help us create programs people want to attend, build partnerships that matter, and connect our community with everything their Library has to offer.
This is a full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week position with a starting pay of $21.00 per hour and benefits including:
