Job summary

The State of Missouri is hiring for an APS role located at 3675 West Outer Road, Suite 103, Arnold, MO 63010. The role involves investigating abuse and neglect of seniors and disabled adults, conducting home visits, and coordinating protective services with an on-call rotation and travel as needed.

Minimum qualifications include strong communication, independence, resilience, and a Bachelor's degree or relevant experience (LPN/RN or social services accepted). One+ year APS experience preferred.

• Bachelor's degree (relevant experience such as LPN, RN, or social service supports, etc. experience may be substituted for each year of required education).
• For the APS Specialist II position, one or more years of experience in Adult Protective Services or other related human services field.

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the elderly (age 60+) and disabled (ages 18+).
• Conduct home visits to observe surroundings, and interview victims and caregivers.
• Coordinate interventions and ongoing protective services needs.
• Be available to be in an on call rotation with other members of your team.
• Travel within local multi-county area to conduct home visits, attend hearings and training sessions, utilizing your personal vehicle when necessary. Minimal overnight travel required.
