Job summary

Arizona Center For Youth Resources - ACYR is seeking an Adult Education instructor to prepare participants for English language and math outcomes, following ADE AES standards. The role includes engaging participants, tracking attendance, and connecting learners to career pathways and services.

Ideal candidates will hold an Adult Education Teaching Certificate, have fingerprint clearance, and experience with adult learners.

Qualifications

• Must have Adult Education Teaching Cert.
• Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Knowledge of adult learner characteristics and content areas.
• Ability to instruct using basic technology in instruction.
• Experience teaching or working with adult learners.
• Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow ACYR procedures for attendance, enrollment, assessments, curriculum, and classroom instruction.
• Provide instruction based on ADE AES standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics.
• Develop community partnerships to engage and retain participants and connect to work trainings.
• Attend ABE Program meetings and support ACYR vision with professional development.
• Engage in ACYR social media related to events and outreach.
