Job summary

South College Asheville is seeking an Adult Echocardiography - DMS Adjunct Faculty Instructor to join the DMS Department on-ground at the Asheville Campus in Asheville, NC. Travel to area clinical sites may be required.

The position entails developing lectures and labs, evaluating student progress, and providing timely feedback while remaining accessible for student questions and supporting clinical experiences.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RDCS or RCS credential in adult echocardiography.
• Minimum two years of full-time sonography experience.
• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree required for didactic instruction.

Responsibilities

• Develop appropriate academic lectures and/or scanning lab, as well as learning experiences that allow all students to achieve course objectives in sonography.
• Ensure that all academic program requirements and forms of documentation are completed as required for each student and submitted per established deadlines in sonography.
• Provide appropriate and timely feedback to students.
• Be reasonably accessible to students for questions and assistance.
• Appropriately manage all classroom activities.
• Submit accurate attendance/academic participation rosters as prescribed by the institution.
• Submit assignment grades and feedback in a timely manner.
• Be willing to assist with visiting students in a clinical setting.
