Job summary

NSSRA provides Adult Day Programming for individuals with disabilities age 22 and older. As a Program Leader, you will support daily recreation activities, assist with activities of daily living, and ensure participant safety during all programming.

This role requires lifting, transferring, and flexible scheduling to meet participant needs. The position is part-time year-round with a pay range of $22.00 to $26.00 per hour, dependent on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Personal transportation to NSSRA programs and partner agencies.
• CPR, First Aid and CPI certification (or obtain within 3 months of hire) and maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Work all scheduled programs, assignments and commitments.
• Communicate with staff during transitions, maintaining safety.
• Assist with daily living activities such as feeding, changing, toileting and transferring.
• Keep participants safe at all times and provide activity adaptations as needed.
• Supervise participants in water during swim time and follow participant plans.
• Complete required paperwork and participate in orientation and meetings.
