Job summary

Regal Heights Rehabilitation & Nursing Center seeks an experienced Adult Day Health Care Program Director to lead the reopening, growth, and daily operations of our ADHC program in Jackson Heights, Queens. The Director will oversee operations, staffing, census development, referral relationships, and registrant experience.

Prior ADHC experience is required; the role emphasizes compliance with NYS DOH, HCBS, Medicaid, and ADHC standards, and collaboration across clinical and administrative teams

Qualifications

• Must have prior Adult Day Health Care experience.
• Strong knowledge of NYS regulatory requirements for ADHC.

Responsibilities

• Lead the reopening and ongoing operation of the ADHC program.
• Oversee daily program activities, staffing, scheduling, and service delivery.

• Maintain registrant records, assessments, care plans, and required documentation.

Regal Heights Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Adult Day Health Care Program Director to lead the reopening, growth, and daily operations of our Adult Day Health Care program in Jackson Heights, Queens.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‐on leader who understands ADHC operations and is excited to build a strong, welcoming program for the community. The Director will oversee program operations, compliance, staffing, census development, referral relationships, and the overall registrant experience.

Prior Adult Day Health Care Experience Is Required.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the reopening and ongoing operation of the ADHC program
• Oversee daily program activities, staffing, scheduling, and service delivery
• Ensure compliance with NYS Department of Health, HCBS, Medicaid, and applicable ADHC requirements
• Maintain complete and accurate registrant records, assessments, care plans, and required documentation
• Prepare the program for surveys, reviews, interviews, and regulatory visits
• Recruit, train, supervise, and support program staff
• Work closely with nursing, social work, rehabilitation, activities, dietary, transportation, and facility leadership
• Develop and maintain relationships with MLTC plans, referral sources, hospitals, community organizations, families, and healthcare providers
• Support census growth through outreach, referrals, and strong community relationships
• Coordinate registrant admissions and ensure a smooth onboarding process
• Monitor program quality, attendance, satisfaction, and operational performance
• Create a safe, organized, engaging, and person-centered environment for registrants

Qualifications:

• Previous management or leadership experience in an Adult Day Health Care program is required
• Strong understanding of ADHC operations and New York State regulatory requirements
• Experience with Medicaid, MLTC plans, care planning, compliance, and census development
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work closely with clinical and administrative teams
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, social work, public health, business, or a related field preferred
