Job summary

California Fresh Market is seeking an Adult Beverage Associate to manage Beer, Liquor and Wine sections, price, display and promote products while collaborating with department teams to hit sales and margin targets.

You will maintain cleanliness, accuracy, merchandising, and receiving; develop sales plans; oversee promotions; and foster vendor relationships in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in Beer, Liquor, or Wine retail operations or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Beer, Liquor, & Wine products and ability to reference customer questions.
• Must have basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures.
• Knowledge of current trends in the grocery industry with an emphasis on Beer, Liquor, & Wine.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manuals and reports.
• Willingness to work weekends and the ability to work evenings/nights.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Description

An Adult Beverage Associates job is to select, price, display, and promote Beer, Liquor, & Wine while working with a department team to meet objectives for sales, margin, inventory control, labor, and customer service.

An Adult Beverage Associate is also tasked with ensuring department cleanliness, price integrity, quality control, merchandising, and receiving. You will leverage your own experience and knowledge of these categories to create sales plans, execute promotions, oversee category management, build relationships with vendors and local suppliers, foster a culture of collaboration across the stores while supporting merchandising decisions.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years experience in Beer, Liquor, or Wine retail operations or equivalent experience
