Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks an ADU - Automatic Drilling Unit Technician to join the Mobile Manufacturing Team. The role focuses on setup, repair, and implementation of ADU fixtures and templates to support production needs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial maintenance or ADU systems. A vocational/technical certificate may substitute for experience. This is an on-site direct-hire opportunity at our Mobile facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial maintenance or maintenance of ADUs and related equipment.
• Experience with maintenance of test equipment or equivalent mechanical duties is preferred.
• Vocational/technical certificate can be considered in lieu of experience for entry level positions.

Responsibilities

• Set up, repair and implement ADU equipment for Airbus FAL-USA (A220-A320).
• Oversee qualification of ADUs and support entry into service.
• Provide guidance and limited instruction to employees using ADU equipment.
• Perform ongoing maintenance and repair of ADUs.

Airbus is looking for an ADU - Automatic Drilling Unit Technician to join our Mobile Manufacturing Team. This position is responsible for the setup, repair, and implementation of Automatic Drilling Unit Fixtures and templates in collaboration with production needs.

On “Airbus Way” you’ll find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your Challenges

• Responsible for the set-up, repair and implementation of ADU equipment for the Airbus FAL-USA, (A220-A320) based on Airbus best practices.
• Gives advice on best practices and records lessons learned.
• Oversee the qualification of ADUs and support their entry into service.
• Responsible for the adjustment of ADUs, cutting tools and drilling templates.
• Provide oversight and instruction to Airbus employees using ADUs (provides limited instruction to employees using equipment - training).
• Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of ADU’s.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Boarding Pass

• A High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the industrial maintenance, maintenance of ADU’s, maintenance of test equipment or equivalent mechanical or technical type vocation e.g. Automotive transmission repair, engine overhauls, etc.
• A vocational/technical certificate will be considered in-lieu of experience for entry level positions.
• This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
