Legacy Adoption Services (LAS) is a Michigan-based adoption provider formed through a partnership with Samaritas and Wellspring Lutheran Services. We seek an Adoption Specialist to manage cases, coordinate placements, and support families through the entire adoption journey.

You will handle court filings, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide post-placement services to families. A bachelor’s degree in social work and relevant experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field required.
• State of Michigan licensure preferred.
• At least one year of experience in adoption services, child welfare, or related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manage a caseload of children and families through the adoption process.
• Coordinate matching and placement, including transportation as needed.
• Attend court hearings and complete all legal documentation for finalization.
• Collaborate with foster care staff, adoption agencies, and the Department of Health and Human Services.
• Maintain accurate case records and post-placement support.
