Job summary

Rising Ground in New York, NY is seeking a dedicated professional to facilitate matches for waiting children in adoption, using a child-focused recruitment approach. You will build relationships with referred children, support readiness activities, and coordinate with case planners to ensure permanency.

The role requires 2–4 years in human services, with a preference for foster care or adoption, plus a High School Diploma or Associate Degree.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years in human services, preferably foster care or adoption.
• Public relations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate matches of children with families using Child-Focused Recruitment.
• Build personal relationships with referred children and support readiness activities.
• Assess each child's strengths, needs and readiness for adoption quarterly with written updates.
• Maintain collaboration with case managers, therapists and other team members.
• Explain Child Focused Recruitment vs General, Child Specific and Targeted Recruitment.
• Coordinate regular outreach with the case planner and keep contact records current.
• Develop and implement a child-focused adoption recruitment plan for each child.
