Job summary

Bethany Christian Services in Harrisburg seeks a SWAN Permanency Specialist to support foster care and adoption efforts through home studies, family profiles, and post-placement services. You’ll collaborate with families, agencies, and professionals to facilitate safe, lasting permanency for children in our care.

You'll complete reports, coordinate with local counties, conduct trainings, and stay current with state and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field from an accredited college.
• Master’s degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field (a plus).
• Experience with writing home studies for domestic adoptions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop home studies and family profiles for approved families.
• Complete reports and documents in accordance with agency and licensing expectations.
• Provide placement and post-placement services for adoptive families.
• Coordinate care with local counties and other professionals to ensure high-quality service.
• Conduct information meetings and trainings for prospective adoptive parents.
• Attend SWAN and adoption-related meetings as requested.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
