Job summary

Cantex is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – RN/LVN to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing nursing operations, quality initiatives, staffing, and regulatory compliance. This leadership role emphasizes clinical oversight, resident safety, and continuous quality improvement to ensure high standards of care.

The ADON will collaborate with nursing leadership to promote survey readiness, infection prevention, and staff development across the facility.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN or LVN license in good standing.
• Minimum of two years charge nurse and supervisory experience in long-term care preferred.
• Long-term care leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing with clinical oversight, nursing operations, staffing coordination, clinical audits, and documentation expectations.
• Lead investigations and clinical follow-up activities related to incidents, quality concerns, and identified trends.
• Participate in QAPI initiatives, survey readiness activities, and corrective action plan implementation.
• Coach, mentor, and develop nursing leadership personnel and frontline staff.
• Promote infection prevention standards, resident safety practices, and adherence to policies.
• Support abuse prevention awareness and enforcement activities.
• Help ensure patient and resident safety through effective clinical leadership and oversight.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
