Job summary

Barren County Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team and help drive clinical excellence and resident-centered care. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily operations, mentor staff, and support a positive, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Current KY RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in long-term care.
• 2 years management experience preferred.
• 1 year staff education experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Evidence of basic leadership and supervision.
• Flexible hours required.

Responsibilities

• Meet the nursing medical needs of all residents.
• Coordinate infection control.
• Educate the staff.
• Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff.
• Be on 24 hours on call.
• Coordinate and direct planning for nursing services.
• Maintain knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Ensure accurate and timely medical records.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring and orienting new nursing staff.
• Oversee daily staffing process.
• Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs.
