Job summary

Outfield Healthcare Partners seeks a Registered Nurse to support and manage Nursing Services for residents, under physician orders and resident needs. In partnership with the Director of Nursing, you will oversee 24-hour nursing supervision and guide the department to meet Federal, State, and company standards.

In the director's absence, you assume clinical operations responsibilities, performing the nursing process under state Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an RN in the state of practice.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in nursing required.
• Five years in long-term or acute care preferred; at least 2 years supervisory exp.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total care plans per physician orders and regulations.
• Communicate policies to staff and monitor practices.
• Participate in admissions decisions and resident status reviews.
• Lead daily/weekly meetings and ensure adequate nursing coverage and care.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinates plans for the total care of each resident which comply with physician’s orders, governmental regulations and facility resident care policies.
• Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation.
• Participates in all admissions decisions, and may visit prospective residents before admissions, as needed.
• Participates in daily and weekly management team meetings to discuss resident status, census changes, personnel, or resident complaints or concerns.
• Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care and nursing supervision as evidence by adequate services and staff coverage, absence of odors, general cleanliness, prevention of pressure wounds, and apparent maintenance of optimal resident functions.
• Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or assigned at any time with or without notice.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as RN in the state practiced.
• Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school required.
• Five years in long-term or acute health care preferred; At least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required.
