Job summary

AMFM Healthcare's Mission Prep program seeks a compassionate Primary Therapist to provide individual and group therapy to adolescents in residential care. You will manage a caseload of 6-8 clients, collaborate with families, and contribute to comprehensive treatment planning within our inpatient setting.

The role emphasizes high-quality, client-centered care, with EMR documentation and adherence to HIPAA standards. In-person work at the residential facility is required.

Qualifications

• Credential: Residency in Counseling, Supervisee in Social Work, Licensed MSW or full independent licensure.
• Active/current registration with the Virginia Dept of Health Professions.
• Experience with EMDR and working with adolescents in a clinical setting.
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical evaluations, biopsychosocial assessments, and client diagnoses with interpretive summaries.
• Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans and case management, providing referrals as needed.
• Offer therapeutic interventions, including crisis counseling, for individuals, groups, and families.
• Facilitate individual and group psychotherapy sessions.
• Maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) documenting progress.
• Collaborate with utilization review for insurance authorization.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings to ensure efficient clinical operations.
• Adhere to organizational standards, ethics, and legal requirements.
