Job summary

Sheppard Pratt Hospitals in Towson, MD is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Adolescent Male Crisis Stabilization Unit, 7 AM to 7 PM. You will deliver comprehensive psychiatric nursing care on a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires MD RN licensure (or compact state) and prior psychiatric nursing experience; you will assess, plan, administer and evaluate patient care, educate families, and document progress for the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in Maryland or a compact state at time of appointment.
• Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred.
• Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services per treatment plans.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physician.
• Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Provide day-to-day clinical direction to Mental Health Workers or paraprofessional staff.
• Document and report patient progress to the treatment team.
• AHA CPR certification required before first day of employment.

Responsibilities
