Job summary

Nexus Neurorecovery Center – San Antonio is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adolescent females in a residential treatment setting. You will assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric conditions, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team and families to support individual treatment plans.

Qualifications

PMHNP must be licensed in Texas and certified in Psychiatry.
Experience with adolescent patients in residential or structured settings.
Ability to conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage medications.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the Medical Director.
Prescribe and manage medications, monitor efficacy and side effects, and order necessary labs.
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and care staff to coordinate care.
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, plans, and progress per program policy.
Provide trauma-informed care and support safety for residents and staff.
