Job summary

Seattle Children's is hiring a Medical Assistant in Washington state with a sign-on bonus for eligible new hires. You will perform patient procedures, treatments, and tests, and handle clerical tasks to support clinic flow. Strong emphasis on clinical and operational support within a pediatric setting.

Required WA DOH MA certification and BLS, with HS diploma or equivalent. Interim WA MA certification can be substituted for up to 12 months.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Current WA DOH Medical Assistant certification is required.
  • Interim WA MA certification acceptable for up to 12 months from issue date.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform individualized patient procedures, treatment and tests.
  • Perform clerical tasks including chart preparation, stocking supplies and answering calls.
  • Provide advanced assistance with clinic operations and monitor clinic flow.

Perform individualized patient procedures, treatment and tests. Perform associated clerical tasks including chart preparation, stocking clinic supplies and answering telephones. Provide advanced assistance with medical clinic operations and monitoring of clinic flow.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent experience

Required Credentials
  • Current Medical Assistant - Certified designation by Washington Department of Health (DOH).
  • Current Interim Certification through WA State can be substituted for up to 12 months from issue date.
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).
Preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program
  • Current National Medical Assistant Association Certification (eligible for premium)
  • Current Medical Assistant experience in Pediatrics, Urgent Care experience and/or Medical screening and immunization.
Compensation Range

$26.51 - $39.76 per hour

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
