Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group in Torrance, CA is seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist for the Star View Adolescent Center to support residential care for teens. You will provide direct and indirect mental health services to adolescents, develop schedules for groups, and participate in treatment planning and team meetings.

The role offers on-site work Tuesday through Saturday, with compensation of 28.00–31.00 USD per hour and a comprehensive benefits package including medical coverage and paid CEU

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (General Studies) with 6 years of direct mental health service experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree (Mental Health discipline) with 4 years of direct mental health service experience.
• Master’s Degree (Mental Health discipline) with 2 years of direct mental health service experience.
• 0–4 years of experience in a healthcare setting working with seriously emotionally disturbed (SED) children or adults (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect mental health services to adolescents under supervision.
• Develop individualized schedules for therapeutic groups.
• Lead or co-lead therapeutic groups.
• Coordinate and monitor daily unit activity; supervise outings.
• Prepare verbal reports and document progress in the medical record system.
• Participate in Treatment Team meetings and support development of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Plan.
