Job summary

Connecticut Oncology Group is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to support the infusion center. Responsibilities include ordering and stocking IV medications, maintaining clean drug prep areas, and accurately preparing IV products using aseptic technique.

Position requires travel between Middletown and Westbrook locations; two years of practice pharmacy experience preferred. National Pharmacy Certification a plus; knowledge of computer systems and infusion center operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience in a practice pharmacy setting.
• National Pharmacy Certification a plus.
• Knowledge of computer system.
• Knowledge of daily infusion center operations pertaining to mixing and dispensing medications.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precaution to maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Private oncology practice of five physicians and two nurse practitioners, located in Westbrook and Middletown.

• Responsible for ordering, stocking of IV medications and maintaining adequate supplies and medications needed for the infusion center.
• Maintains order and cleanliness in the drug preparation area and the infusion room.
• Accurately prepares IV products in an efficient manner according to guidelines and aseptic technique.
• No Nights, weekends or holidays.
• Competitive salary and benefits for qualified individual.
• Must be willing to travel between our Middletown and Westbrook locations.
• National Pharmacy Certification a plus.
• Minimum of two years experience in a practice pharmacy setting.

• Skill in reading doctor/nurses orders and interpreting doses.
