Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Operations Float Pharmacy Technician to support preparation of chemotherapeutic and other agents in a fast-paced, multi-site environment at the Inverness office. You will perform sterile compounding, manage medication inventory, and liaise with Physicians, Nursing, Pharmacy Supervisor and Procurement.

Travel across Florida and potential overnight stays are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Previous Experience: Minimum of 6 months experience in the pharmacy field, in a clinical setting as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred. IV sterile compounding experience is preferred.
• PTCB Certification or Florida Registered as Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Medical terminology and attention to detail is desirable.
• Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
• Must be willing to travel occasionally to educational and research meetings as well as training sessions.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License for travel to clinics is required.

Responsibilities

• Pharmacy Technicians are expected to maintain a high degree of accurate productivity and performance while being extremely sensitive to total patient care.
• The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the ordering and inventory of medications, clinical supplies, and act as liaison between Physicians, Nursing, Pharmacy Supervisor and Procurement in obtaining special order medications.

Part Time Position

Position Summary:

• Pharmacy Technicians are expected to maintain a high degree of accurate productivity and performance while being extremely sensitive to the specific contribution of total patient care.
• The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the ordering and inventory of medications, clinical supplies, and act as liaison between Physicians, Nursing, Pharmacy Supervisor and Procurement in obtaining special order medications.

Position Qualifications/Requirements
