The Vines Hospital in Marion County, FL is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our Admissions Department. The RN will manage intake and admission processes, assess mental health status, and coordinate with referral sources to admit patients efficiently.
Responsibilities include reviewing packets, determining level of care, and communicating with nursing and support units while maintaining accurate documentation in Med Series 4. Strong communication skills are essential.
The Vines Hospital is currently recruiting for a FT RN to join our Admissions Department. The Admissions RN is responsible for performing all aspects of The Vines Hospital’s intake and admission process, including efficient and effective handling of inquiry calls, knowledge of and communication with referral sources; providing hospital and program information to individuals, agencies, facilities, and professionals; making outside referrals when appropriate; assessing and triaging an individual’s mental health status; making patient safety and level of care recommendations to The Vines Hospital’s physician; identifying insurance benefits, pre-certification of patient care; completing all admission requirements; communicating patient safety concerns and pertinent patient information to unit nursing staff and documenting all necessary information in Med Series 4. The RN will review packets, accept and admit patients. This position requires a person to work with minimal supervision and will work with all facility units: business office, medical staff, medical records, utilization review, marketing, and nursing.
Shift: 7:00am-7:30pm

Location: We are located in picturesque Marion County, FL, known as the Horse Capital of the World. Enjoy the outdoors at one of the county’s serene parks, which includes wonderful hiking trails, river rafting and tubing. Watch the county’s wildlife and view the scenery by taking a horseback ride through one of the area’s riding trails. Considered the heart of Florida, the beautiful region is centrally located within hours of many activities.
Education: Associate degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in the mental health field preferred. Previous assessment experience required.
License: Licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse required.
Skills: Excellent communication skills. Ability to relate to those emotionally disturbed and in crisis.
