Glen Oaks Hospital in Greenville, Texas, is seeking an experienced admissions coordinator to manage inquiry and referral calls, coordinate admissions, and liaise with payors, families, and clinicians. The role requires RN licensure in Texas and 1–3 years in psychiatric healthcare, with CPR and de-escalation training.

• Graduate from an accredited RN program; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care.
• Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care, Verbal De-escalation, and CPR prior to assisting in restraining procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process inquiry and referral calls in a timely manner.
• Coordinate admissions and serve as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, unit and hospital personnel involved with each admission.
• Verify insurance, triage patients, complete assessments, staff clinically, enter calls and admissions in computer, and complete all admission paperwork.
• Pre-cert with payor source.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures regarding admissions.
• Communicate with unit staff and assist patient to unit.

Position Summary

Qualifications

Education: Graduate from an accredited RN program; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care, Verbal De-escalation, and CPR prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
