Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital in Brandon, FL is seeking an Admission Registered Nurse to direct, facilitate, and coordinate admissions to our facility. You will join an amazing team that supports one another and values patient care as meaningfully as we do.

The position requires Florida RN licensure (compact accepted with FL license within 60 days), a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), and 1–2 years in an acute care setting, plus BLS. Strong critical thinking and communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Florida RN license or compact licensure; active FL license within 60 days if compact.
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in an acute care facility.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate the nursing component of the Interdisciplinary Assessment for all new admissions.
  • Review transfer information from other facilities and integrate with assessment data.
  • Coordinate with admissions, pharmacy, and other departments to facilitate admissions.
  • Evaluate scheduled admissions for appropriateness.
  • Make bed assignments for new admissions and transfers.
  • Coordinate transfer of patients between hospitals.
