Admissions Representative

The Admissions Representative is the first point of support and guidance for students entering Rasmussen University. This role significantly impacts and influences the lives of prospective students, their families, and the communities we serve. The success of our students' futures starts with our Admissions Representatives, who will guide students on a path to long-term success.

Responsibilities:

The Admissions Representative will leverage their passion for learning to motivate individuals to transition from considering to enrolling in Rasmussen's industry-leading, innovative, and accredited online programs, including:

  • School of Nursing
  • School of Justice Studies
  • School of Technology & Design
  • School of Health Sciences
  • School of Business
  • School of Education

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Rasmussen's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Being the first contact point for prospective students considering enrollment.
  • Engaging prospective students via phone, email, chat, and text messaging to encourage enrollment.
  • Relating effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Conducting conversations to assess needs, showcase benefits, and facilitate enrollment.
  • Maintaining high program knowledge to meet recruitment goals.
  • Managing student database, application paperwork, and follow-up documentation.
  • Staying informed about university programs, student services, and local colleges.
  • Building relationships with local high schools, businesses, and community members.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure a professional and productive student experience.
Reporting Relationships:

The Admissions Representative reports to the Campus Director or an Associate Director of Admissions.

Requirements:
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 1+ years of sales/consultative experience preferred; customer service background also considered.
  • Self-driven with the ability to make multiple outbound calls daily.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong phone presence.
  • Passion for helping others succeed.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Ability to leverage internal relationships to facilitate enrollment.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
  • Positive, proactive attitude.
