Job summary

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is seeking an Administrative Representative to support patients and clinical teams during night shifts at 1 Hoag Dr, Newport Beach, CA. You will handle registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient payments, ensuring a positive patient experience and smooth operations.

Proficiency with EPIC and other systems, basic Microsoft Office skills, and clerical accuracy are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year clerical experience, medical terminology knowledge, filing, computer skills and basic telephone skills.
• High level of keyboarding skills for data input.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Imaging Departments Only: clerical experience and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Representative is responsible for following Federal, State and Local guidelines and works directly with patients and clinical teams for delivery of services to include but is not limited to:

• Registration
• Scheduling
• Verification of insurance
• Collection of patient payments
• The patient experience
• Communicating with internal departments

The Representative is proficient in the application and systems that may include but is not limited to:

• Affinity
• Passport
• EPIC
• Other supporting information systems

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one (1) year clerical experience, medical terminology, including filing, computer skills and basic telephone skills required.
• High level of computer keyboarding skills for data input required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel required.
