Job summary

MetroLagoons in Florida seeks a part-time admissions host to manage resident entry to the lagoon on Saturdays and Sundays during the off-season. You will greet guests, verify IDs, and assist with questions while guiding guests around facilities.

In Spring 2027, the lagoon is anticipated to open full-time, increasing duties and responsibilities for the role and expanding guest services across the site.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of Admission Experience preferred.
• Energetic, enthusiastic and reliable personality.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Professional manner, discretion, and appearance.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work outside in all-weather elements.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and check IDs.
• Sell lagoon tickets, rental products, events, gift shop items.
• Check in guests and monitor re-entry.
• Enforce bag check rules.
• Maintain clean work area and reset rental areas.
• Assist with lawn games and lending materials.
• Handle lost and found per procedures.
• Answer questions onsite and by phone.
• Communicate with team via walkie-talkie.
• Manage cash, credit cards, and gift cards.
• Assist guests with parking when needed.
• Follow safety policies and maintain guest and team safety.
• Support other departments as needed.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a P/T admissions host to manage resident entry to the lagoon on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the off-season. This person will greet guests, check all relevant identification, assist with questions, and ensure guests are properly updated on the lagoon's facilities.

During the Spring of 2027 it is anticipated that the lagoon will be open F/T, and the position will increase in duties and responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Provide excellent customer service
• Sell lagoon tickets, rental products, special events tickets, gift shop merchandise, and other products as required
• Check in guests and residents of the lagoon as well as monitor the re-entry process
• Ensure guests follow company bag check rules
• Clean your assigned work area as needed for a strong opening, closing, and maintain throughout the day
• Clean and reset rental areas throughout the day and for closing responsibilities
• Assist with maintaining lawn games and lending materials to guests
• Accept, log, and maintain the park's lost and found by adhering to all procedures
• Assist guests with any questions or concerns onsite and via phone
• Use a walkie-talkie radio to communicate with other team members and leadership
• Ensure proper handling of all cash, credit cards, and gift cards
• Assist guests in parking area as needed
• Adhere to all safety policies to ensure guests and team members’ safety
• Demonstrate the utmost integrity in all professional and personal matters
• Other duties as assigned, including assisting in other departments
