Job summary

Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Admissions Director to lead admissions and referral development for our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center.

Responsibilities include overseeing the admissions process, building strong referral partnerships, and driving census growth while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with CMS and payer requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare admissions, marketing, or related role.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing, LTC, rehabilitation, or post-acute care.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance verification.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple referrals in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage the admissions process from referral to resident admission.
• Develop and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, social workers, and discharge planners.
• Drive census growth through outreach and partnerships.
• Conduct pre-admission screenings to determine placement.
• Coordinate verification of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, commercial insurance, and private-pay coverage.
• Provide welcoming facility tours to prospective residents and families.
• Educate about skilled nursing, rehabilitation services, and admissions process.
