Job description

Brush Hill Care Center is a large, skilled nursing facility located in Milton, Massachusetts.

We are seeking an experienced Admissions Coordinator to add to our team.

Knowledge of insurances (Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care) is preferred, as well as the use of an electronic medical records system.

Basic responsibilities include

  • Receive professional referrals from the electronic database and process the critical referral information

  • Develop good rapport and working relationships with area discharge planners and appropriate social service agencies to promote the Facility's reputation and encourage referrals.

  • Ensure all empty rooms are admission ready and prepared for new residents.

  • Assist the facility and Admission staff with obtaining insurance authorization, when needed.

  • Conduct facility tours for prospective residents, their families and community groups.

  • Gather and document information from families regarding prospective or actual resident placements.

  • Gather, document, and appraise residents’ financial resources and needs together with the business office

  • Prepare admission documents and consent forms.

  • Develops and maintains referral lists and maintains contact with each potential referral source.

  • Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) preferred

  • Other duties as assigned.
