Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking an Admissions Assistant to support the facility's admissions processes. You will manage referrals, intake, verification, pre-certification, and admissions, and arrange facility tours.

This role reports to the Admissions Manager and back-ups, with opportunities for growth, flexible scheduling, and participation in the Employee Bonus Referral Program. A supportive leadership team will help you thrive.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in a medical office or healthcare registration function.

Responsibilities

• Lead admissions support: manage referrals, intake, verification, pre-certification, and admissions.
• Arrange facility tours and provide guidance to Admissions Manager on hiring/performance.
• Back-up to Admissions Manager and perform related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Provides admissions office support for the facility, serving as the lead support person. Manages referral, intake, verification, pre-certification, and admissions processes; conducts or arranges for facility tours. Makes recommendations to the Admissions Manager regarding hiring and performance management of staff, where applicable. Serves as a back-up to the Admissions Manager. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Training: A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Business or Technical School is preferred. Medical terminology and knowledge of process of insurance verification is required.

Experience: At least one year experience in a medical office position or in a healthcare registration function.
