The Sierra Vista Hospital location, a 171-bed psychiatric care facility located in south Sacramento, is a full-service mental health facility and a center of support for patients and their families. Since 1986, we have offered our clinical expertise to those suffering from emotional, behavioral and addiction problems.

Position Summary

The Admissions Coordinator/Financial Counselor processes admissions and registrations to include all consent forms signed, financial assessment of patients, self-pay liability, insurance verification, up-front deposits/collections, and data integrity. The incumbent also communicates benefit information to patients, family, staff, and provides a high degree of customer service.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: Prefer two (2) years' experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard, preferably in a heath care environment and any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment.
• Additional Requirements: May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
• Complete knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
