Job summary

Providence Park Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Mobile, AL is seeking a Long-term Care Admissions Coordinator. This role drives the admissions process, coordinating with nursing for medical screening and guiding potential residents and sponsors through the admission packet.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Social Work or Healthcare Administration with marketing/admissions experience, plus strong English communication and a patient, positive attitude toward the elderly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, HealthCare Administration, or a related field, WITH relevant experience in marketing, admissions and discharges.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the elderly
• Previous experience or completion of appropriate training program.

Responsibilities

• Responding to inquiries regarding potential nursing home admissions in writing, by telephone, or in person.
• Providing information about the admission process and conduct facility tours
• Receiving inquiries /referrals on behalf of potential residents and maintain record of receipt and disposition.
• Consulting with nursing for medical screening of inquiries /referrals
• Verifying medical insurance of potential residents (Medicare, Medicaid, other)
• Interviewing potential residents and/or sponsors and complete admission packet

This position is involved in the administrative functions of planning, organizing, evaluating and directing the processes involved in the admission of a potential resident.
