Job summary

Victory Bay Recovery Center is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to manage triage and eligibility evaluations for admissions and refer ineligible clients to appropriate treatment centers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • 2–4 years experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Current CPR Certification.

  • Collaborate with PAC Director/Admissions Manager for eligibility.
  • Ensure referrals for ineligible clients to partnering centers.
  • Screen clients according to company criteria; accept or reject accordingly.

Job description

The position is responsible for ensuring that all clients are effectively triaged and evaluated for appropriateness for admission to Victory Bay Recovery Center, and clients who do not meet eligibility criteria are effectively referred to an appropriate treatment center.

The position is responsible for ensuring that all clients are effectively triaged and evaluated for appropriateness for admission to Victory Bay Recovery Center, and clients who do not meet eligibility criteria are effectively referred to an appropriate treatment center.

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Essential Duties
  • Facilitates the admissions process for new clients.
  • Collaborates with PAC Director/Admissions Manager to determine financial/clinical eligibility for incoming admissions.
  • Ensures all clients who are not eligible for admission are referred to a partnering treatment center.
  • Screen clients according to criteria set forth by the company and reject or accept clients appropriately.
  • Coordinates with Medical, Clinical, and Operations departments to facilitate admissions.
  • Coordinates the referral and intake process with the appropriate staff.
  • Assesses appropriate level of care based on pre-screen assessment and stated need and insurance.
  • Executes follow up procedure for all non-converted admissions.
  • Executes follow up procedure for all non-converted refer outs.
  • Maintains communication with Outreach Coordinators for appropriate referral targets.
  • Maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and staff.
  • Assists with training new Admissions Coordinators and Patient Access Coordinator.
  • Assists with Admissions/Outreach data management, including bed-board and referral spreadsheets.
  • Maintain client confidentiality.
  • On-Call/After-Hours Phone coverage and availability.
  • Accept new tasks as they arise and constantly explore opportunities to grow within the organization.
  • Additional Duties
  • Assists and covers other staff when necessary to maintain high productivity and efficiency in the department.
  • As the company continues to grow, additional responsibilities that are essential for the department to be successful will be assigned accordingly.

Experience
  • 2-4 years' experience in a healthcare setting, with demonstrated experience in customer service, operations, staffing, and teamwork preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Drug & Alcohol Treatment
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.
