St Simons By-the-Sea on the Georgia coast is seeking an Admissions Clinician to guide patients through compassionate, efficient intake and admissions, ensuring appropriate level of care.

You will perform psychosocial assessments, determine medical necessity, coordinate with insurance precertifications, and respond to calls from patients, families, and referrals, in a supportive, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Behavioral Sciences or related field.
• 2+ years of experience; inpatient setting preferred.
• Two years in Intake/Triage/Admissions preferred.
• Computer proficiency with heavy data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients with psychiatric or behavioral health concerns.
• Determine medical necessity and recommend alternative levels of care when appropriate.
• Gather and evaluate information for insurance providers, including precertifications.
• Respond to and triage incoming calls, providing guidance to patients, families, and referral sources.
