Job Details

We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate Accountant who combines advanced Microsoft Excel expertise with strong analytical judgment, disciplined time management, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. This position is responsible for completing recurring and ad hoc accounting activities accurately, resolving issues efficiently, and delivering reliable financial information within established timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, analyze, and reconcile accounting data using advanced Excel tools, formulas, PivotTables, lookups, and data-validation techniques.
  • Review financial information for accuracy, identify trends and variances, investigate discrepancies, and translate findings into clear, actionable conclusions.
  • Plan and prioritize daily, weekly, monthly, and period-end accounting assignments to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Partner effectively with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to gather information, resolve issues, and support shared objectives.
  • Support continuous improvement by simplifying reports, strengthening controls, and developing more efficient accounting processes.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3+ years office experience required; 3+ years payroll experience preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Requires basic computer skills including using a Tyson Business Computer System as well as Microsoft Office & Excel, SAP Preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Requires written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks such as setting priorities, evaluating results, and coordinating with others.
  • Assignments are defined and the approach to be taken is usually determined in coordination with others.
