Qualifications

Position Summary

The Dining Experience Coordinator supports Viking Food Co. through student engagement, customer service, meal plan administration, and event coordination. This entry-level position serves as a key liaison between students, dining staff, and campus partners to ensure a positive dining experience. The Dining Experience Coordinator helps manage communications, supports special events, and contributes to initiatives that enhance student satisfaction and awareness of Viking Food Co.'s programs and services.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $16.00 to $18.50. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Service & Student Engagement

• Serve as a primary point of contact for student and guest dining inquiries.
• Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely, professional manner via the dining services email
• Support student outreach initiatives and dining satisfaction programs.
• Assist with dining service marketing efforts, promotions, and engagement activities.
• Gather feedback from students and provide recommendations for service improvements.
• Maintain a visible presence in dining locations to foster positive relationships with students and guests.

Meal Plan & Administrative Coordination

• Support meal plan administration, including student account inquiries and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate communications regarding dining policies, operating hours, menu updates, and service changes.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and departmental documentation.
• Prepare correspondence, presentations, and meeting materials as needed.
• Assist with tracking customer feedback metrics and student satisfaction data.

Event Planning & Campus Partnerships

• Assist in planning and executing special dining events, themed meals, catering functions, and campus programs.
• Collaborate with student organizations, residence life, orientation teams, and campus departments.
• Support new student orientation, welcome week, admissions events, open houses, and other university events.
• Coordinate promotional activities that increase student participation and awareness of dining programs.
• Help develop student engagement initiatives that strengthen campus community and dining participation.

Compliance & Safety

• Promote and support food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Assist with compliance documentation related to dining programs and events.
• Report safety concerns and customer service issues to management promptly.

Work Environment

This position primarily operates in a front-facing reception desk environment within a higher education dining services office. The Dining Coordinator serves as a welcoming first point of contact for students, parents, faculty, staff, and campus visitors, aiding with meal plan inquiries, dining information, customer service concerns, and general departmental support. The role requires frequent interaction with a diverse campus population and includes regular collaboration with dining personnel, campus partners, and vendors. Occasional travel to dining locations and attendance at evening or weekend campus events may be required to support student engagement initiatives and special programs.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Nutrition, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Well-versed understanding of multiple information technology systems, including database management, meal plan administration systems, point-of-sale platforms, customer service applications, and other business software used to support dining operations and student services.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends for campus events.
