Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston seeks an Administrative Specialist II to provide high-level administrative support to directors, staff, and departments across clinical, academic, research, and leadership roles.
The role requires proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom and Adobe, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and 3 years in an office setting; superb communication and confidentiality are essential.
Under moderate supervision, the Administrative Specialist II provides administrative support to staff, faculty member(s), or department(s) in their clinical, academic, research and leadership roles in support of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute’s mission. The Administrative Specialist II uses various office software to produce reports, spreadsheet, presentations, or other documents as needed. The Administrative Specialist II may be required to interface with senior management, cross-organizations, internal and external customers. For all of these, the work still required the application of well-established techniques, procedures, or standards. Energy, organization, task orientation, and excellent people skills required. High-level written, oral, and graphical communications skills are essential. Proficiency in computer and communications technologies required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; majors in science or literature may be preferred. 2-3 years of experience in an office setting preferred, ideally supporting a senior executive or professional group. Healthcare industry, research laboratory, or academic department experience preferred.
