Job summary

USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service is seeking a professional in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) to support budget formulation, execution and performance, and to provide expertise on financial management and accounting operations, systems and plans.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing statistical or financial reports that track program funds and inform management decisions.
• Experience providing guidance on procurement procedures and assisting with requisitions or purchase orders.
• Experience supporting COR-related duties for contracts or facility leases by coordinating maintenance or facility service needs.
• Experience tracking personnel actions or FTE levels to support staffing and workforce planning activities.
• Experience coordinating emergency or continuity-related communication materials, including maintaining calling-tree information.

Job description

This position is in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). The OCFO is responsible for providing expertise on budget formulation, execution and performance; communicating FSIS policy on financial management and accounting operations, systems and plans; and for integrating and executing technical leadership through strategic planning. Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.

Specialized Experience

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-9 level) that demonstrates the statements below:

• - Researching financial data in agency financial systems to support budget formulation and execution.
