Overview

The Montefiore Administrative Nurse Manager (ANM) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Maternal Child Health departments in collaboration with the Associate Clinical Director. The ANM directs and coordinates patient and unit activities in an environment that supports excellence, ensuring the continual delivery of quality care, in compliance with MMC policies and standards.

The ANM maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing's Social Policy Statement. The ANM actualizes the vision, mission, values, and balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center. The ANM participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills.

This position is accountable for managing all clinical administrative functions (patient care delivery, fiscal, material and human resources of nursing unit(s) within a Care Center on a 24-hour basis. The position is responsible for creating an environment in which autonomy is nurtured, encouraged and reflected in a highly competent workforce capable of providing quality care. professional interdisciplinary collaboration, communication and teamwork to the customers and community to improve health and wellness. The position is responsible for upholding compliance with Montefiore Medical Center's policies/procedures, service excellence standards and regulatory requirements.

• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to manage and provide care appropriate to the age of the patient population served.
• Facilitates and promotes the delivery of Patient/Family Centered Care to a divergent customer population.
• Demonstrates prudent fiscal management of human and material resources to support the fiscal viability of the Medical Center.

Requirements

• BSN Required, MSN preferred.
• 4-6 years of clinical experience Required.
• Minimum of 3 years' management experience Required.
• Evidence of excellent interpersonal relationships, effective English communication skills, (written, oral and interpersonal) ability to problem solve, ability to motivate, develop, and coach individuals and groups, ability to appropriately confront issues, and ability to think creatively. A strong commitment to furthering institutional performance measures through interdisciplinary teamwork is essential.
