About The Position

Rusk County seeks an Administrative Coordinator with strong leadership, communication, financial management, and organizational skills. The Administrative Coordinator serves as a key professional leader within Rusk County government, working closely with the County Board, committees, department heads, constitutional officers, and staff to support effective and responsive county operations. The position provides administrative coordination across departments, supports implementation of County Board policies and priorities, and helps ensure the efficient delivery of services to residents. This role requires a collaborative, approachable, and organized leader who can build strong working relationships across the organization. The successful candidate will bring experience in public administration, budgeting and financial management, human resources, organizational leadership, and working effectively with elected officials and diverse stakeholders.

Hiring Range

$110,000-$128,000 (DOQ)

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least four years of administrative or management experience, preferably in a government organization.

  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with elected officials, staff, and the public.
